Incredible India!

Posted by Deepak Shetty on May 30, 2010

There are many things in life, we just knowingly ignore, or I’m not sure though we are aware we just don’t want to think of it…
Wondering! Yeah…I did not think actually when I started writing and now it really makes me feel guilty when I realize how something’s are manipulated and we are one reason behind all this…

Don’t you think we live in a nation –

– Where pizza delivers home faster than Ambulance and Police
– Where you can get car loan @8% but Education loan @ 12%
– 76 Police men were killed mercilessly but media is busy showing the news of failed sports
persons (Sani and Shoiab)
– Where rice is Rs.40per kg but SIM cards are free.
– Where a millionaire can buy a cricket team instead paying taxes to government and donating
to charity
– Where people are sitting at tea stall reading an article on child labour n say yaar baccho se kam
karvanalo ko fansi lagana chahiye  & then shout ‘are chotu chai de.’

Incredible India! Isn’t It

Did we ever think why all this happens, do we have answers, is there a solution ever for all this ???

Self Improvement is Self Confidence

Posted by Deepak Shetty on January 24, 2010

People are always searching for ways of Self Improvement and that often means looking inward and solving problems within themselves.

Speaking up in public, gatherings, parties, meetings can be embarrassing or nerve-wracking for many people. Even employees who are not normally shy feel panic at the thought of expressing ideas in front of the authorities or Boss. One can feel throat close up if asked to express an opinion. Or some people gather all the courage and try to take an initiative but by the time they do it the, the meeting is almost over, and the issue is effectively forgotten or sorted out. Some just plan and jot down points to communicate, however they do it when they are alone but can’t express when needed. Even if you are outspoken you’ll hesitate to communicate sometimes or may not put forward your point correctly.

To avoid all this and sound more confident there are some tips you can follow –

–          Don’t wait for anyone to start the discussion, fearing your ideas are not that great or you are too shy, have the courage to take an initiative in the discussion. If you have an idea or an opinion, the first few moments after the meeting starts is a great time to speak up. By offering to start the discussion, you take on the role of facilitator, instead of expert. Your idea may even get the credit for generating the eventual solution coming out of the discussion.

–          Start out with a statement that captures people’s attention.

–          As in letter writing the basic rule is use “You” instead of “I” , in the same way , while communicating  or discussing use “and” instead of “but”. As far as possible start your sentence positively, even if you don’t agree or contradict with the speaker. This helps you judge yourself when you are heard convincingly.

–          When you are discussing objective facts instead of values, use a phrase such as, “My experience has always been that…” or “My research indicates that…” that will help you give your opinion extra credibility.

–          Always end your discussion when you have made your point, if required always end with an offer to write out your ideas in more detail and send them on to the team later for their consideration or approval.

Follow this simple rules and improve yourself , improving oneself to speak  is being confident within.

SAB Fantastic Family Entertainment Channel

Posted by Deepak Shetty on December 12, 2009

Gone are the days…when I used to come from office, stressed and tired and to top it I used to fight with my mom for the remote, she used to watch the depressing Saas- Bahu serials and I used to end my day with a pathetic family drama, however it’s not the same, thanx to Jethalal ‘m sure you all know him…Taarak Mehta Ka ooltah Chashma” one of the super hit serial of SAB TV. Infact, I must thank SAB TV for giving us such fantastic family entertainment. My entire family enjoys watching this show, followed my many interesting shows like FIR”, “Maniben.com”, “Lapataganj, and more… All this shows act as stress-busters, it is actually made a difference in my lifestyle.

“Asli maza Sab Ke Sathh atta hai” truly said. ‘m sure, you agree with me, I must not miss telling you about another upcoming show, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolofrom 14th Dec.09 – 9pm onwards…

Concept
‘Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo’ is a situational comedy that arises from a small lie that the protagonist, Apoorva (Sumeet Raghavan), had to tell his boss Dhirubhai Jhaveri (Tiku Talsania)to gain employment. The high on this fun and frolic show revolves around a very successful businessman Dhirubhai who despises everything related to lies and liars. He is a staunch believer in the cultural values and family bonding.

Apoorva who was raised in an orphanage manages to get a job in Dhirubhai’s company. In order to gain Dhirubhai’s trust and knowing well his fondness for traditional Indian joint families, Apoorva lies that he has a full-fledged family back home. Soon Dhirubhai gets smitten by the description of Apoorva’s imaginary family.

Furthermore, Apoorva’s dedication and hard work wins Dhirubhai’s trust. Over time, Apoorva catches the eye of Arti, Dhirubhai’s niece who is young, beautiful, and optimistic and believes in the same values as her uncle. He too develops a liking for Aarti, but refrains from expressing his feelings to her.

Marriage proposals start pouring in for Aarti (Mughda Chapekar). Hence Dhirubhai fixes her marriage with a potential groom but it is later called off. Dhirubhai then decides to marry off Aarti with Apoorva. He announces that the marriage will take place in India, in the presence of Apoorva’s family. Apoorva tries to convey the truth to Aarti but realizes that it will break her heart as she has always longed to be part of a joint family. A helpless Apoorva seeks help from his best friend Rajesh (Rajiv Thakur) to arrange for his fake family at the earliest .

Committed to their friendship, Rajesh in a short span of time gets together a set of people who can stage as Apoorva’s family to meet Dhirubhai and Aarti. From here on begins a non-stop comical journey in which the family members, who are from varied backgrounds, try to find their feet in their new characters and live up to Dhirubhai and Aarti’s expectations.

It sounds lot of fun to me ….Don’t miss to watch it!

Indian porn, a rage among voyeurs, As far as web brands go, ‘Indian porn’ has come to have a cult following in the country almost four years after an MMS sex clip of two Delhi teens found its way to the internet. Bored with professional pornography, voyeurs have latched on to internet sites and BitTorrent downloads for videos shot on the sly of women having sex with their partners, taking a shower in a hotel bathroom or trying dresses in a clothes store’s changing room.

Viewers prefer to watch real sex, as, such porn is a real steal for websites maximum numbers of they prefer these voyeuristic videos over the regular adult fare.”

While following the case of the 19-year-old Kandivili girl whose friends spiked her drink and made a sex video of her with their cell phones, the internet to be flooded with similar clips often posted with catchy headlines. In the case of the Kandivili girl, her MMS wasn’t uploaded online, but distributed among her college mates. There was a police complaint made by the girl…the rest has to follow as most victims don’t even know their privacy has been breached.

Pornography is becoming a home-grown industry; it is here—It is not just feeding their fantasy; it is also redefining their intimacy.

Video rentals are the most common form of pornography while one in 10 porn-viewing women say they are willing to star in their own skin film given a chance. And some women are not even aware of what has happened.

Boys and Girls – Beware! There might be a camera around to disclose your privacy.Your fun and intimate moments may lead to thousands of people’s fantasy.

Consumer_CourtIN 1986, Indian government introduced a new Act for the protection of consumers known as COPRA (Consumers Protection Act). The provisions of this Act cover ‘goods’ as well as ‘services’.  The goods are those which are manufactured or produced and sold to consumers through wholesalers and retailers.  The services are in the nature of transport, telephone, electricity, housing, banking, insurance, medical treatment, etc. According to this, no shopkeeper or businessman should cheat the consumer. Alen…I love you!!!

Posted by Deepak Shetty on August 21, 2009

I_love_you

Poem about love … Do read… just for fun. (ANU)

It happened one day…
I met him on the way…
The wind was clam …
We met each other in the farm…

He saw me…
I saw him…
We exchanged smiles…
We were friends!

We met daily…
Our time passed gaily…
We chatted a lot…
About just here ‘n’ there…

I knew as days passed, he care..
That feeling which came to me was very rare…
We had a lot of things to share..
We made a very nice pair…

One day he said..
He had to leave…
He  had to join work…
He was in the army…

I was sad…
Somewhat, really mad…
But nothing I could do…
He had to move..

The day came he had to leave…
We kissed each other goodbye…
He was waiting for the bus…
Standing in a queue…

When I gathered all courage…
And shouted ….Wait!
Alen ! I love you……….I love you…

Suddenly there was a gap…shshshzzzzzzzz
When mom waked me up… from my study…
With really a tight slappppppp…………..:-)

Anu

Note : I was in standard sixth when I wrote this poem…:-)..
